Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with symptoms in accordant with the diagnostic criteria of ALI/ARDS; 2. Patients belonging to lung heat and intestine accumulation syndrome through TCM differentiation; 3. The pathogenic factors are from direct lung injury, including severe lung infection, inhalation of gastric content, lung contusion, inhalation of noxious gas, drowning and oxygen toxicity, etc.; 4. The age limit ranges from 18 to 75.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffered from multiple system organ failure within 3 days from the attack, and with the expected survival time less than 1 week; 2. Patients with the liability of hemorrhage; 3. Patients of allergic constitution or being allergic to many kinds of medicine; 4. Pregnant or lactating; 5. Patients being allergic to this medicine.
