Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis was prediabetes; 2. Male and female aged of 18 to 75 years old; 3. Body-mass index of 24 or higher; 4. Wrist circumference of 85cm or higher for male, and 80cm or higher for female; 5. Plasma triglyceride levels of 1.7 mmol per liter or higher.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosis was diabetes mellitus; 2. Taking medicines known to influence glucose or lipid metabolism; 3. Presence of chronic liver disease, gastrointestinal disease and other illnesses known to alter glucose tolerance; 4. Presence of other psychological or physical disabilities deemed likely to reduce their life expectancy or their ability to participate in the trial.
