Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 50 to 80 years old, male or female; 2. Patients with primary total knee arthroplasty performed for primary osteoarthritis (OA).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with bilateral TKA, diabetes, haemostatic defect, rheumatoid arthritis,previous thromboembolism, a history of peripheral vascular disease, malignant tumour, esophageal stenosis, esophageal varices, previous open knee surgery and knee infection.
