Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. With the diagnosis of MODS in accordance with the standard diagnostic criteria (dysfunction of more than 2 organs); 2. With the diagnosis of SIRS or sepsis in accordance with the standard diagnostic criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. HIV infection; 2. Pregnancy, organ transplantation recipient within 1 year or cachexia; 3. Allergy of cardiopulmonary circulation,anticoagulant or blood purification equipments; 4. Cannot undergo blood purification treatment because of other diseases or having severe complications during treatment; 5. Patients having other diseases which may influence the outcome, eg.rheumatic diseases,severe autoimmune diseases; 6. Cannot cooperate effectively during treatment; 7. Involved in other clinical trails; 8. Considered not suitable for the trail by doctors(at least 2 attendings)
