Thyroid disease

Interventions

VSS Group:In the VSS Group each vessel will be occluded by application of VSS (Valleylab, CO, USA).

CTT Group:In the CTT group each vessel will be occluded by manual ligature (Vicryl 3-0 or equivalent suture material) using the square-knot technique and divided with scissors after ligation.

18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Thyroidectomy patients with normal function of liver, kidney, heart, and lung; Informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Malignant disease or highly suspicion for malignancy; Severe psychiatric or neurological disease; Previous history of thyroid or neck surgery; Participation in another intervention-trial; pregnancy.
