Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age =21mm POAG: (1) Diagnosed with primary open angle glaucoma, as defined by Foster et al.; (2) Have medically uncontrolled POAG for which they have elected to undergo surgery. PACG: (1) Diagnosed with primary angle closure glaucoma as defined by Foster et al.; (2) the posterior trabecular meshwork not being visible for at least 180 degrees by dynamic gonioscopy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Have any contraindication to intraocular surgery; 2. Diagnosed with: normal tension glaucoma, secondary glaucoma, neovascular glaucoma; 3. Have any active ocular disease other than glaucoma that would interfere with study parameters (such as: uveitis, ocular infection, or severe dry eye); 4. Have any intraocular surgery; 5 Have known allergy or sensitivity to mitomycin C.
