Interventions

Improved systemic three-step treatment group:Step 1: cetirizine 10mg qn for 1 week and diprophyllin 200mg tid until cough ceased. Step 2: prednisone 25mg qd for 1 week if failed to stop cough or budes
Systemic three-step treatment group:Step 1: diprophyllin 200mg tid and compound methoxyphenamine 2 capsules tid. Other steps are the same

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 16—75years, without gender restrict; 2. History of illness:History of recent illness: course of cough >8years, dry cough or little white sputum, without wheezing or fever.Past history: no history of upper respiratory tract infection in last 2 months; no smoking or withdrawa in last 2 years; no history of occupational dust or toxic or harmful gases exposure; without intake of ACEI in last 3 months; 3. Physical examination: no lung rales; 4. Auxiliary examination: Chest X-ray: no evident abnormalityPulmonary function: FEV1>80% predicted value, and FEV1/FVC>70% predicted value.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age 75years; 2. Pregnant or breast-feeding women; 3. Allergic to certain drugs; 4. Participants with poor compliance; 5. Respiratory disease: history of occupational dust and toxic or harmful gases exposure; smoking in last 2 years; upper respiratory tract infection in last 2 months; complicated with COPD, interstitial pneumonia and tuberculosis; 6. Other internal disease: uncontrolled hypertension, intaking ACEI in last 3 months, serious arrhythmia, unstable blood sugar, serious hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, active digestive ulcer, decompensate cirrhosis, intestinal obstruction, serioud renal and hematological abnormality, thrombus syndrome and untreated seizure; 7. Psychiatric disease: 8. Surgical disease: serious difficulty urinating and recent operation history; 9. Ophthalmologic disease: glaucoma.
