Osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

Interventions

Group A:Traditional Chinese Medicine Yiguyin, decocted and taking twice a day for 60 days.
Group B:Western Medicine: alpha D3 or alfacalcidol 0.25 µg po. Qd (initial dosage 0.50 µg)
calcium agents 1 tablet po. Bid for 60 days

45 Years to 76 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Willing to participate and sign informed consents forms; 2. Diagnosed as osteoporosis in postmenopausal women; 3. Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation: shen-yang deficiency and pi-qi deficiency; 4. Aged between 45 and 76 years old; menopause for at least 2 years; 5. Never been treated by anti-osteoporosis drugs before; 6. BMD detection (T-Score) <=-2.5.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients that may influence the observation; 2. Have participated in similar studies or studies using anti-osteoporosis drugs before; 3. Have participated in interventional studies within 30 days before this study; 4. Allergic to any contents used in this study, or with history of alcohol or drugs abuse; 5. With contraindications for calcium or vitamin agents; 6. With other conditions that investigators regard as unsuitable for the study.
