One cohort:Biventricular pacing for 3 months post implant, then switch to sensing mode for 4 weeks and back to biventicular pacing again for 8 months

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. symptomcatic heart failure; 2. dilated LV-EF < or = 35%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. <18 years of age; 2. patient has unstable angina; 3. MI within 3 months; 4. Coronary revascularization within 3 months; 5. Restrictive cardiomyopathy; 6. Acute myocarditis
