Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria were: 1. Patients met ICD-10 for schizophrenia; 2. PANSS>=60; 3. failed trials of at least 8 weeks on what should have been a therapeutic dose of at least 3 conventional antipsychotics of 2 different classes; 4. age >=18, male or female; 5. to be able to and willingness to fulfil the stuty; 6. All patients or their caregivers were informed, and gave consent to take part in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were: 1. current or past history of serious medical illness, for example renal diseases, liver diseases, epilepsy, severely cardiovascular diseases, endocrine system diseases, CNS Diseases, particularly blood dyscrasia and bone marrow disorder; 2. have received the treatment of ECT in the past month; 3. history of alcohol or drug abuse; 4. pregnancy or lactation; 5. a diagnosis other than schizophrenia (include comorbidity); 6. other fators that the investor don't think fit to including.
