Inclusion criteria: Normal glucose tolerance 1. aged 18 to 70 years old; 2. no history of hyperglycemia; 3. glucose metabolism is normal, defined as: fasting blood glucose <6.1 mmol/L and glucose tolerance after 2 hours <7.8 mmol/L. Impaired glucose regulation 1. aged 18 to 70 years old; 2. according to the 1999 WHO standard. Impaired glucose tolerance: fasting blood glucose <6.1 mmol/L and glucose tolerance after 2 hours7.8 mmol/L ~ 11.1 mmol/L; fasting glucose damage with impaired glucose tolerance: fasting blood glucose 6.1 mmol/L ~ 7 mmol/L and glucose tolerance after 2 hours 7.8 mmol/L ~ <11.1 mmol/L. Simple impaired fasting glucose, impaired glucose tolerance and impaired fasting glucose tolerance combined with impaired glucose tolerance referred to as impaired glucose regulation. Diabetic patients: 1. aged 18 to 70 years old; 2. Diabetes diagnosis according to the 1999 WHO standards. Diabetic: fasting blood glucose = 7.0 mmol/L and / or 2 hours postprandial blood glucose =11.1 mmol/L; fasting glucose damage: fasting blood glucose 6.1 mmol/L ~ 7 mmol/L and glucose load 2 hours after the blood glucose <7.8 Mmol/L. 3. diabetes course = 6 months, 3 months hypoglycemic treatment program fixed; 4. HbA1c level of 7% to 13%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. using drugs may affect the metabolism of glucose such as glucocorticoids, thyroid hormones, thiazide diuretics 1 month before the test; 2. liver and kidney dysfunction (alanine aminotransferase or aspartate aminotransferase or direct bilirubin higher than the normal upper limit of 1.5 times, or serum creatinine> 115umol/L); 3. pregnancy, cancer and mental illness; 4. affecting the body 1,5-AG levels such as cystic fibrosis, gastrectomy, taking some traditional Chinese medicine such as Polygalaceae, the US Polygalaceae.
