Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. osteotome sinus floor elevation (OSFE) and simultaneous insertion of the implants; 2. absence of maxillary sinusitis before the surgery; 3. availability of at least the initial panoramic radiograph, the immediately post-surgery radiograph, 6-month post-surgery radiograph, 12-month post-surgery radiograph and 18-month post-surgery radiograph; 4. intact medical records, including medical and dental histories, surgery records, whether or not used bone grafts, and which kind of grafts was used etc.; 5. absence of metabolic bone disease, uncontrolled diabetes and periodontal disease; 6. prosthetic reconstruction only included single-implant supported single crown restorations; 7. The patients provided informed consent allowing their medical records to be used in medical research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. have serious heart, liver, lung, kidney and other important organ diseases or severe blood, immune, endocrine (such as: uncontrollable diabetes) and other systemic diseases; 2. A history of chronic disease treatment known to affect oral environmental drugs (eg phenytoin, dihydropyridine calcium antagonists, cyclosporine, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) within 1 month prior to enrollment (= 2 weeks); 3. suffering from bone metabolic diseases (such as: osteoporosis, deformed osteitis, etc.), or within 1 month before taking the drug can significantly affect the bone metabolism of drugs or products (such as steroids, bisphosphonates); 4. 6 months before enrollment with severe smoking history (> 10 / day); 5. severe periodontal disease, and can not be effective control; 6. oral inflammation, infection can not control.
