Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We retrived patients data and surgical characteristics from the electronic medical records system of Tiantan hospital during past two years, from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2016. Patients aged 18 years or older with INAB under selective operation of infratentorial craniotomy (i.e. not including transoral and transnasal approaches endoscopic surgery) were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Craniotomy with simultaneously cesarean section, artificial cochlear implantation and intraoperative wake-up test were excluded. Supratentorial or extracranial growth of intracranial neoplasms were also excluded. Since postoperative intracranial haemorrhage is a serious postoperative complication which usually needs re-craniotomy and delays artificial airway extubation, patients with postoperative intracranial haemorrhage were excluded in this study. For patients who had craniotomy neoplasm resection more than once during this 2 years study period, we included only the first surgery.
