Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients had clear history of symptoms and signs associated with MCSM, on whom conservative treatment had failed; (2) Patients suffered at least three compressed levels confirmed on the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); (3)The follow-up information are complete.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients acted mainly as cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR) rather than myelopathy; (2) In addition to cervical disc herniation, other diseases were combined such as ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL), hypertrophic ligamentum flavum (HLF), fractures or tumors, etc.; (3) Patients had a history of any previous cervical spine injury or surgical intervention.
