Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: SCH group: women aged 20-40 years; singleton pregnancy; higher TSH and normal FT4 Control group: women aged 20-40 years; singleton pregnancy; normal thyroid function and negative for anti-TPO and anti-Tg antibodies.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: SCH group: being on any medication that may impact thyroid function; active or passive smoking; medical history of any other chronic diseases. Control group: personal or family history of thyroid diseases; being on any medication that may impact thyroid function; active or passive smoking; medical history of any other chronic diseases.
