Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Children 1. Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) treating in Nanjing Brain Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University; 2. Children who are 3-6 years old; 3. ASD patients diagnosed by The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) 4. ASD children lived in Nanjing or circumjacent area at least 5 years (or since given birth); 5. Do not participate in other research project at present; 6. The custodian of ASD children agree to join in this study. Typical development children 1. Chirdren who match the ASD chirdren in age and gender; 2. Typical development children lived in Nanjing or circumjacent area at least 5 years (or since given birth); 3. Do not participate in other research program at present; 4. The custodian of typical development children agree to join in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Children 1. Used antibiotics (at last 3 days) or immunosuppressive drugs (at last 3 days) in past 1 mouth; 2. Suffered from infectious disease such as chicken pox, pneumonia, influenza etc in past 1 mouth; 3.Suffered from fever (higher than 37.5?) in past 1 mouth; 4. Suffered from mental disease but not autism spectrum disorder; 5. Suffered from serious organic disease especially hepatorenal function disorder; 6. Suffered from acute gastrointestinal disease such as gastroenteritis or gastrointestinal parasitic diseases in past 1 mouth and did a gastrointestinal operation. Typical development children 1.
