Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) were over 18 years old; 2) were scheduled to receive elective radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer; 3) had the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) grade <=III; 4) without evidence of metastatic disease and 5) agreed to take part in the study and signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) received a palliative surgery; 2) had anastomotic leakage after surgery; 3) had gastroparesis after surgery, and 4) had early postoperative small-bowel obstruction (EPSBO).
