Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Non-injury control group: the surgical patients with no trauma and brain damage; 2. No brain injury groups: moderate and severe trauma patients without the direct and indirect brain damage, mainly the severe organ dysfunction patients; 3. Brain injury group: mild, moderate, and severe stroke (including cerebral obstruction, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage), and brain trauma patients; 4. Hemofiltration treatment groups: stroke and brain trauma patients with hemofiltration.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Heart failure, severe lung disease, renal failure in patients before acute stroke and brain trauma has occurred. Brainstem lesions involving the respiratory and circulatory center causing respiratory, circulatory disorders
