Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. The control group: (1) healthy volunteers, no history of liver, lung, kidney and other important organ disease , no intracranial tumors and other brain disorders, no history of mental illness; (2) right-handedness; native language for the Chinese; (3) aged 18-50 years; 20 people; 1. treatment group: (1) Conform to the diagnosis and efficacy of lumbar discs evaluation criteria of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine , according to history and symptoms and imaging (CT or MRI confirmed that L4-5 disc herniation caused by nerve root) was diagnosed as lumbar and leg pain patients. (2) aged 18-50 years old, acupuncture treatment group with 20 people, and bed rest group with 20 people; (3) right-handedness; native language for the Chinese.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. MRI examination contraindications; 2. With severe heart, liver, kidney disease, cerebrovascular disease; 3. valetudinarianism, severe neurosis, mental illness patients; 4. no lumbar and leg pain in patients with lumbar disc herniation or other diseases caused by pain; 5. leukemia, thrombocytopenia with bleeding tendency; 6. with other treatment at the same time; 7. one can't cooperate or poor compliance.
