40 Years to 75 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients with T2DM who were diagnosed with T2DM for > 1 year; 2. no history of receiving professional periodontal treatment during the past 6 months; 3. no use of antibiotics or steroidal and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications during the past 3 weeks; and 4. no treatment with immunosuppressive chemotherapy, no current acute illness, and no ongoing pregnancy or lactation.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: with history of receiving professional periodontal treatment during the past 6 months; use of antibiotics or teroidal and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications during the past 3 weeks; and treatment with immunosuppressive hemotherapy, no current acute illness, and no ongoing pregnancy or lactation.
