Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 2 diabetes diagnoses according to the World Health Organization diagnostic criteria. DPN diagnoses according to Diabetes Care diagnostic criteria, including the nerve conduction(NC) tests abnormalities, neuropathy symptoms, signs.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with tumors, severe pulmonary diseases, type 1 and other type diabetes, pregnancy, severe liver diseases, chronic renal diseases, heart failure,cerebrovascular and peripheral arterial diseases, pituitary and hypothalamus disease,neuropathy caused by other reasons,such as cervical vertebra,lumbar disease, cerebral infarction, Guillain-Barre syndrome, central nervous system disorders, and abnormal thyroid function tests were excluded from the study. None had the history of gastrointestinal surgery or any other conditions known to affect OB and OT.
