Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria in our study are as following: patients meet diagnostic criteria of acute ischemic stroke; patients are admitted to hospital within 72 hours of symptom onset, older than 18 years old; patients are able to provide informed consent and comply with study protocol patients are able to provide blood sample and stool sample.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are as following: silent cerebral infarction with no signs or symptoms; be diagnosed with TIA,radiographic evidence of intracranial hemorrhage (including subarachnoid hemorrhage); accompanied with digestive system disease (e.g. IBS,IBD, colorectal cancer); accompanied with comorbidities such as heart failure, respiratory failure,severe renal or hepatic insufficiency,hematological diseases; active infection or received antibiotics within 1 month of study enrollment; any condition that, in the judgment of the investigator, would place a patient at undue risk by being enrolled in the trial or cause inability to comply with the trial.
