Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients meet the judgment of depression disorder defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-5 (DSM-V), meet the judgment of Chinese version of international neuropsychiatric interview (MINI), meet the syndrome diagnostic criteria of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine (edited by Wang Yongyan, People's Medical Publishing House, 2011.); 2. score of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-17) larger than 18, score of Chinese version of Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) less than 7; 3. all genders; 4. aged from 18 to 65 years; 5. right handedness; 6. sign the informed consent forms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) serious suicidal tendencies; 2) lactation, pregnancy or being pregnant during the research; 3) treated by monoamine oxidase inhibitor in the last 4 weeks; 4) presence of severe somatic disorders (cardiovascular, hepatic, renal condition, tumor, hematopathy, epilepsy or other nervous system diseases); 5) schizophrenia, addictive diseases (nicotine, alcohol, or other psychoactive drug substance); 6) bipolar disorder.
