40 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Being diagnosed with T2DM for more than one year; 2. No antibiotic, no steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication were used during the last 3 weeks; 3. Not treated with immunosuppressive chemotherapy, no current acute illness, no professional periodontal treatment was received during the last 6 months and no ongoing pregnancy or lactation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Antibiotic, steroidal and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication were used during the last 3 weeks; 2. Treated with immunosuppressive chemotherapy; current acute illness; professional periodontal treatment was received during the last 6 months; ongoing pregnancy or lactation.
