21 Years to 34 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. primipara delivered with normal full term singleton whose Apgar score not less than 7 (newborns born at 37-42 weeks gestation age, bodyweight more than 2500g, and without abnormalities and diseases); 2. with breastfeeding intention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. breastfeeding contraindication; 2. adolescent mother aged below 20 years; 3. maternal breast problem which may affect newborns latching, suckling or swallowing including hypoplastic breasts, breast surgery/injury, breast implant, reduction mammoplasty, and sagging breasts; 4. (1) breastfeeding contraindication; (2) adolescent mother aged below 20 years; (3) maternal breast problem which may affect newborns latching, suckling or swallowing including hypoplastic breasts, breast surgery/injury, breast implant, reduction mammoplasty, and sagging breasts; (4) New born infant diseases or abnormalities with suckling or swallowing problems (cheilopalatognathus, ankyloglossum, Congenital heart disease); (5) mother and infant separation; (6) non-breastfeeding including totally bottle feeding, artificial feeding or non-biological mother breastfeeding; (7) gestational related complications and concurrent medical complications; (8) maternal smoking or pre-pregnant BMI more than 28 kg/m2 (obesity).
