Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Atherosclerosis group: Patients were diagnosed by coronary angiography and displayed one or more coronary arteries with at least 50% stenosis; 2. Normal coronary arteries (NCA): patients were diagnosed by coronary angiography and found no vascular diseases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Diabetes mellitus and other metabolic diseases; cardiovascular events <1 year, such as a stroke or myocardial infarction; 2. malignant diseases; 3. renal failure; liver diseases; 4. various of chronic and acute infection; 5. connective tissue diseases; 6. any type of surgery during the previous week; 7. treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs and/or immunosuppressive agents.
