18 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients over 18 year-old, with sepsis in ICU and presenting 2 or more of the following criteria: 1. Temperature higher than 38 degree C or lower than 36 degree C 2. Heart rate more than 90 beats/min; 3. Respiratory rate more than 20 breaths/min or partial pressure of CO2=12*10^5, or less than <=4*10^5 or more than 10% of band forms.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with immune system diseases, eg. HIV infection, auto-immune diseases; 2. with disease that might interfere with the functional status of the immune system: cancer, chronic virus infection (human immunodeficiency virus); 3. with high dose of corticosteroid (>200mg/d) or immunosuppressive agents before admission
