40 Years to 90 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in group C or D according to the assessment scheme suggested by Global initiative for chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) guidelines, which was defined as a post-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) of less than 50% predicted and FEV1 less than 70% of forced vital capacity; and a history of at least one documented exacerbation in the 12 months before screening; 2. Male or female aged 40 years or more; 3. Agreed to join the study and signed a written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of active lung diseases other than COPD such as asthma and a respiratory tract infection; 2. Recent (within 4 weeks) treatment with systemic or inhaled corticosteroids; 3. No diseases or conditions that may affect the interpretation of the neutrophil count (such as leukopenia, systemic lupus erythematosus,malignancies and so on); 4. Current or recent (within 30 days) participation in another clinical study; 5. Other reasons that the researchers believed inappropriate.
