Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 486 patients with the diagnosis of AMI hospitalized in the department of cardiology of our hospital during July 30, 2003 and July 30, 2007 were included. Inclusion criteria: exact timing of onset of AMI was reported in medical records; diagnosis made on the basis of clinical presentations, ECG, markers of myocardial injuries or coronary angiography, and diagnosed as AMI for the first time according to the WHO criteria for AMI.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients without records of exact timing of onset to conclude the time of AMI; and patients that have been diagnosed as AMI before.
