Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status 13patients aged from 18 to 75 years undergoing surgical procedures requiring a left-side double lumen tube for one lung ventilation were included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with any contraindications to use of a left-sided double-lumen tube , Obvious teeth loosening,presence of or with a previous history of Sore throat,hoarseness or hemoptysis ,invasive airway examination less than 3 days,known respiratory tract infection 1 week before surgery and anticipated duration of anesthesia over 4 hours.
