11 Years to 25 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. aged between 12 to 24 yrs, first time to receive fixed orthodontic treatment; 2. all first molars were existed, and under fixed orthodontic appliances with HX brackets; 3. agree to the research procedures and signed informed consent, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian; 4. agree to use toothpaste applied by the researcher and be able to visit every month.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. subjects with known systemic diseases; 2. diagnosis of mottled enamel or early periodontal disease; 3. recieved antibiotic therapy within 3 months before or during treatment. A participants unable to comply with follow-up appointments during the 6 months, with the possibility of serious relapse, was excluded from the study.
