Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. redo mitral valve operation; 2. left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD) was greater than 70 mm; 3. only extra handling of tricuspid valval disease and atrial fibrillation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: If the patient had significant aortic regurgitation (the effective regurgitate orifice area greater than 1cm2) and (or) reoperation for immediate or early surgical failures (same hospital admission or less than 30 days) was excluded.
