Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. aged=65 years; 2. Patients with humeral diaphyseal and metaphyseal fractures, which was identified by X-ray and CT scan; 3. fracture within 3 weeks; 4. all data was available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. along with other fractures; 2. along with other diseases which affect function of up limbs; 3. irreparable rotator cuff tear; 4. shoulder infection; 5. nerval injury; 6. open fracture; 7. mental disease; 8. lost fellow-up within 3 months.
