Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. All the patients with periprosthetic hip infection from 2011 through April 2016 were reviewed at Shanghai 6th Peoples Hospital. PJI is defined as: Two positive periprosthetic cultures with phenotypicallyidentical organisms, or A sinus tract communicating with the joint, or Having three of the following minor criteria:- Elevated serum C-reactive protein (CRP) AND erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) - Elevated synovial fluid white blood cell (WBC) count OR ttchange on leukocyte esterase test strip - Elevated synovial fluid polymorphonuclear neutrophil percentage (PMN%) - Positive histological analysis of periprosthetic tissue - A single positive culture. 2. Patients older than 18 years old, less than 90 years old; 3. Periprosthetic joint infection after total hip or knee infection.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with superficial/deep surgical site infection or patients undergoing one-stage revision or septic arthritis patients were excluded.
