Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligibility criteria included patients with benign and malignant tumours and acceptable liver function (Child-Pugh score A), and acceptable status to undergo the operation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients undergoing local partial hepatectomy for less than one segment were excluded from the study
