Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: newly diagnosed T2D,patients aged between >18 and 9.0% at diagnosis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: serum creatinine levels =1.5 mg/dL (males), =1.4 mg/dL (females) or abnormal creatinine clearance, known hypersensitivity to metformin or insulin, acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma.
