Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: written informed consent from the parents, aged 3–7 years old, scheduled to undergo an adenotonsillectomy, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with suspected difficult airway, current upper respiratory infections in 2 weeks, asthma, mental diseases, or other congenital and neurological diseases were excluded from the study
