Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. skeletally mature patients; 2. closed tibial plateau fractures which met the operative indications.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. pathological fractures; 2. open fracture; 3. the patient associated with another peri-articular fracture around the knee (i.e., distal femoral fracture, femoral condyle fracture or patellar fracture).
