Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) an involuting IH that was diagnosed according to the criteria of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies; 2) the patient had not been treated with other medications; 3) the IH was superficial with an area larger than 2 cm2, and 4) the guardians agreed to participate in this study and signed the informed consent agreement.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had a history of allergies to timolol, or who had any contraindications (e.g., ulceration, a local infection, bronchial asthma, et al).
