18 Years to 74 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients with chronic constipation who want to receive a colonoscopy; (2) older than 18 years old; (3) accord with the Rome III criteria for diagnosis of functional constipation; (4) willing to join this trail, and signing the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Women during pregnancy or lactation; (2) history of colo-rectal surgery; (3) use of drugs associated with chronic constipation in the latest six months; (4) history of the non-bowel diseases associated with chronic constipation; (5) positive colonoscopy result that found bowel diseases associated with chronic constipation.
