18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. the patient was diagnosed as depressive episode according to ICD-10; 2. aged 18-65 years, dextromanuality, female or male; 3. the total scores of HAMD =18, =28; 4. signed the ICF.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. suicide history, allergic history for Morinda officinalis; 2. combined severe or unstable somatic disease; 3. the patient was diagnosed as epilepsy, bipolar affective disorder, drug or alcohol dependence; 4. the patient was in the MECT treatment now or took antidepressants during last 3 months; 5. the patients had some contraindications that limit them from taking MR examination; 6. pregnant or lactational patients.
