Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged=50 years old; 2. The study eye accords with the following requirements: (1) Having non-visualization of posterior trabecular meshwork for at least 180 degrees on gonioscopy; (2) IOP=21mmHg; (3) Absence of peripheral anterior synechiae (Defined as abnormal adhesions of the iris to the angle that are at least half a clock hour in width and at least to the anterior trabecular meshwork or higher on indentation gonioscopy); (4) Absence of glaucomatous optic neuropathy (Defined as vertical cup:disc ratio =0.6, no optic disc hemorrhages or optic nerve rim loss or notch or retinal nerve fiber layer defects); (5) Vision acuity < 20/40 (Snellen chart), not due to corneal diseases, or retinal diseases or other ocular diseases).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) The study eye displays corneal edema, inflammation, leukoplakia and other corneal diseases; 2) The study eye has changes in structure of the anterior segment caused by laser treatment or intraocular surgery; 3) The study eye has changes in anterior segment structures caused by secondary factors, including but not limited to inflammation, tumor, trauma, and congenital malformation; 4) The study eye displays secondary angle closure; 5) The study eye has evidence of a prior AAC attack; 6) The study eye has cataract surgery with complications leading to vitreous loss; 7) People with basic diseases (such as cardiovascular disease) that is not well controlled and unsuitable for operation.
