Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. According to the international diagnostic criteria,patients with newly diagnosed thyroid associated ophthalmopathy; 2. CAS score is equal or more than 3; 3. The disease becomes serious in the nearly one months, including the aggravation of some already existing symptoms or signs and/or the emergence of new-onset symptoms or signs; 4. There is no need to do the operation of orbital decompression, after the ophthalmologist' assessment; 5. All of the patients were informed of the possible short- and long-term sideeffects of high-dose IVMP therapy, and they all voluntarily joined this study with informed consents.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who were infected by fungus,mycobacterium tuberculosis, hepatitis virus and/or any other uncontrolled bacterium,virus and fungus; 2. Patients who are allergic to methylprednisolone; 3. Patients who have a history of serious mental disease and/or epilepsy; 4. Patients who is suffering from one or two complications, including an active peptic ulcer, a recent gastrointestinal surgery, serious diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, glaucoma, osteoporosis, heart disease, cardiac failure, hepatic impairment, impaired renal function and urolithiasis; 5. Pregnant and lactating women; 6. Combined with someother autoimmune diseases.
