Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with acute respiratory failure due to acute exacerbation of COPD and under invasive mechanical ventilation treatment in ICU; 2. Male or Female aged more than 40 years; 3. Voluntary participation, understanding test contents and signing informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindications with glucocorticoid and inappropriate for the use of hormones; (1) Long-term regular use of systemic glucocorticoid; (2) Combined with other serious respiratory diseases, such as pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary tumor, etc.; (3) Other conditions that the researchers considered unsuitable for inclusion; 2. The equivalent cumulative amount of total glucocorticoid >250mg of prednisone in the last 2 weeks, have already treated > 48h or the cumulative dose = 80mg prednisone before entering this study.
