Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. informed consent; 2. histological diagnosis of malignancy associated with radiological evidence of painful bone metastasis; 3. aged > 18 years; 4. anticipated remaining life of at least 12 weeks (3 months); 5. pain intensity score greater than or equal to 4 points.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. pathological diagnosis of myeloma; 2. sites of previous RT or previous radioisotope treatment; 3. pain intensity score less than or equal to 4 points.
