Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18 years and above; 2. HBsAg-positive for at least six months before study entry; 3. treatment naive patients in immune tolerance and immune clearance phases.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) hepatitis A, C, or E virus or human immunodeficiency virus co-infection; (2) patients with autoimmune disease; (3) causes of liver disease other than HBV; (4) patients in low or no-replicative(LR) and HBeAg-negative hepatitis phases; (5) liver cirrhosis; (6) hepatocellular carcinoma; (7) pregnancy or breastfeeding; (8) with other severe chronic diseases.
