Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: first part: volunteers of 18 years or older, ASA I to III; second part: Eligible subjects were 18 years or older, ASA I to III, and scheduled for elective hand and wrist surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: first part: Exclusion of medical and surgical history of cervical syndrome and brachial plexus,hard language communication; second part:Exclusion of local anesthetic allergies, chronic pain, coagulopathy, infection at the planned injection site, peripheral neurologic disease,inability to comprehend study-related procedures.
