18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) DM (was defined according to th World Health Organization criteria) and Age-matched control subjects; (2) age 18 years or older; (3) underwent a full ophthalmologic examination, including visual acuity, biomicroscopy of the anterior segment using a slit lamp, ophthalmoscopy of the posterior segment, fundus photography and Spectralis SD-OCT scanning; (4) a refractive error within -6.00 diopters or +3 diopter equivalent spheres.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) with disease affecting retinal function including glaucoma, advanced cataract or significant media opacity (2)with other serious systemic diseases; (2) previous intraocular surgery; (4) OCT scanning of poor quality (SNR<20db).
