Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients aged 65 years or older, low-energy hip fracture; (2) Diagnosis of femoral neck fracture (Garden type I-IV) or Intertrochanteric fractures (AO 31 A1-C3); (3) No more than 24 hours from fracture to emergency admission; (4) Not combined with any other main trauma; (5) ASA grades I to III and patients general condition can withstand surgery; (6) Patients willing to accept surgical treatment; (7) Patients willing to be surveyed and followed-up, Signed and dated IRB/EC- approved written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Fractured on either side of the lower limbs in the past six months (including the current); (2) Accompanied with other main trauma or combined injury; (3) present of congestive heart failure or renal failure; (4) combined malignancy or pathologic fractures; (5) Severe Parkinson's (disease) enough to increase the risk of falling or threatening rehabilitation; (6) Severe dementia or other mental illness, those who interfere with the assessment results (7) Occurred acute myocardial infarction within the past three months; (8) Obvious symptoms of lung infection or other serious uncontrolled systemic infection; (9) Combined with uncontrolled blood clotting disorders; (10) Others impact on surgery scheduling and surgery cant be done within 7 days after the fracture.
