Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. patients undergoing major abdominal surgery confirmed by clinicians, including partial gastrectomy, full stomach resection, colorectal resection, pancreaticojejunostomy, biliary-enteric anastomosis, hepatectomy, biliary exploratory surgery, duodenal resection, small bowel resection; 2. Aged 18 to 90 years; 3. willing to participate in this study; 4. capable of communication with researchers; 5. screened for nutritional risk according to Nutritional Risk Screening-2002 (NRS-2002) with a resulting nutritional risk >=3 points; 6. hospitalized for more than 7 days.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. pregnant or lactating; 2. impaired cognitive function; 3. patients who did not undergo a face-to-face examination within 48 h of admission; 4. patients with severe illness and those who had transferred from the intensive care unit or other medical institutions; 5. patients who were undergoing emergency surgery; 6. patients with calories or nitrogen supplies more than recommended by guidelines or nutritional support applied for only one day.
